Environmental impact assessment of the project for the southern expansion of the Industrial Park in Oliveira do Hospital

As established in the detailed urban plan, the intervention area of the project for the southern expansion of the industrial park in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital equates to approximately 52 hectares, 18 of which correspond to the area that is to be expanded.

Within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, Notice No. 1/C7-i01/2021 (AAE), the Municipality of Oliveira do Hospital also intends to create a Renewable Energy Community (REC) using photovoltaic technology and the addition of batteries, with an installed capacity of 2,150 kW for production and 2.6 MWh for storage, for the self-consumption of 35 of the installed businesses.

The activities developed by BoG as part of this project include: coordination of the EIA; development of the descriptors pertaining to soils, climate and climate change, water resources and water quality, planning and restrictions, human health, noise environment, landscape, air quality, and geology, geomorphology, and hydrogeology, including the identification of the current situation, field visit, impact characterisation and assessment, definition of mitigation measures, and the establishment of monitoring programmes; development, integration, and alignment of all specialty contributions for the production of the Synthesis Report and production of the Non-Technical Summary.
