Final External Evaluation of the Project “Solidarity and Community Tourism on the Island of Maio”

The project under evaluation was implemented between 2017 and 2021, and aims to promote solidarity and sustainable tourism and to strengthen and diversify the range of tourist activities on the island. This was accomplished by increasing income-generating activities and promoting participatory techniques, thereby contributing to the improvement of living conditions in the local population as a result.

BoG is responsible for all stages of the evaluation process. These stages covered the preparation of the evaluation including the development of tools for data collection; evaluation of the project according to OECD-DAC criteria and in line with the specific requirements of the European Union on consistency, complementarity, and added value for the population; data analysis; and preparation of the final report.
